Finding Your Place
By Misty Kuceris ©2020
During the month of March, Capricorn is still an important focal point as Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn are in a tight conjunction for most of the month until Saturn enters the sign of Aquarius on March 21, 2020. With this energy, you want to find your place in society and receive the respect this place can give you. In addition to this Capricorn energy, Neptune forms a loose sextile to Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn during the month indicating that you want to find ways to fulfill your dreams and aspirations.
When the month starts, Venus forms a square to Saturn on March 3rd. You may feel a little lonely today with this square. Yet, at the same time, you’re surprised at your feelings. With Venus in the sign of Aries, you normally like to do things on your own. You don’t want other people to get in the way of your reality. But, with Saturn in Capricorn you want to feel that you’ve found your place in society. And, if you don’t have people in your life who support you, you’ll feel as if you’re all alone in the world. While you take the time to see where you belong don’t lose sight of those boundaries you need to establish so you don’t lose your individuality.
Mercury retrograde re-enters the sign of Aquarius and Venus enters the sign of Taurus on March 4th. When Mercury retrograde re-enters the sign of Aquarius, you feel as if you don’t want to hide from things anymore. You’d rather understand how to incorporate new information into your life. You are willing to listen as people share their different points of view.
Since Mercury in retrograde is moving from Pisces to Aquarius, you still need to be careful of computer hacks. While you may not hear about the hacks until a few months later, or after Mercury goes direct, you’re wise to do everything you can to protect your computer’s security.
You also may find it difficult to set specific goals. You have some ideas, but you can’t come up with the right steps to achieve any results. That’s all right because you will probably want to make changes to them when Mercury turns direct on March 9th. But in the interim, it’s a good idea to write down those goals so you can spend this retrograde time period reflecting on them.
As Venus enters the sign of Taurus you want to find value in your life. With Venus in the sign it rules, you understand how important it is to love yourself so you can find true love from others. You want other people to respect you. You don’t want other people to tell you what to do. You also want to make certain that you have things of value surrounding you.
Venus forms a conjunction to Uranus on March 8th. But before that happens, the Sun forms a conjunction in Neptune and you feel that energy throughout the day. This is a day where you need to be cautious. With the Sun forming a conjunction to Neptune it’s easy to be deceived by what other people have to say. With Venus forming the conjunction to Uranus, you are receiving unexpected information, especially as it relates to your finances and relationships.
You want to believe what you’re hearing. You don’t want to believe that other people might deceive you. It’s better to hold back before making any major decisions. Listen to what others have to say. See if that information helps you see things a different way. But, don’t act on that information until March 13th when Chiron forms a square to the Moon’s Nodal Axis.
Meanwhile, the full Moon occurs on March 9th, and Mercury in Aquarius turns direct later in the day. During this full Moon, the Sun is in Pisces and the Moon is in Virgo. The conjunction of the Sun to Neptune is still in effect during the time of this full Moon. Also, because the Moon is in Virgo, the Moon is forming an opposition to Neptune.
You may feel conflicted between trying to do realistic things while also trying to live your dreams. You need to find that balance between the material and spiritual worlds. You also need to find your own sense of identity and not let other people identify you.
This is a day to question the information which you receive. You need to take time to find out the facts. You can’t take what other people say at face value.
Usually at the time of a full Moon you want to release energy and move on with your life. What’s good about this full Moon is that you can release any negative energy that stands in your way if you focus on your spiritual needs.
When Mercury turns direct you start feeling some relief. No you know that you can implement some of your ideas. If you had problems during Mercury retrograde, you can start correcting those problems. Because Mercury is in Aquarius, this is a good time to look at any volunteer obligations and see if they are taking up too much of your time. This is also a good time to re-evaluate your friendships to see if the people around you support your needs.
With Chiron forming a square to the Moon’s Nodal Axis on March 13th, you are able to take the lessons that you’ve learned and bring more healing into your life. You know where you want to go. With the Moon’s North Node in Cancer, you’re concerned about maintaining security in your life. At the same time, you may be putting work before your family and this is causing you stress. Today is the day to find some balance between work and your family needs. Any information that you received on March 8th when the Sun formed a conjunction to Neptune and Venus formed a conjunction to Uranus will suddenly make sense to you. You’ll know if you need to act on that information or just release it and move on.
When Mars is in Capricorn, you take work seriously. You do everything you can to get it right. With Mars forming a sextile to Neptune on March 14th, you realize that you can still accomplish what you want without being so serious about it. You can approach life creativity. You can find different ways to do things. You feel inspired by your possibilities and look forward to your success.
Mercury re-enters the sign of Pisces on March 16th. It originally went into the sign of Pisces on February 3rd and remained in that sign until March 4th when it re-entered the sign of Aquarius in retrograde motion. Now that Mercury is direct in Pisces you understand the importance of compassion. You realize that while not all is as it seems, there still is a lot in the world where applying a positive spiritual attitude can bring more light into the world. And, you’re willing to share this light as you communicate with others.
The Spring Equinox begins in the Northern Hemisphere on March 19th when the Sun enters Aries. This is a time period to prepare for the astrological year as the weather brings in warmer climates and the winter months are now moving to a close. In the Southern Hemisphere the opposite is true. This heralds the movement of weather from harvest and the preparation of protection and winter months.
This will be an important equinox since there is another major stellium in the sign of Capricorn. The planets involved are: Mars, Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn. They are just 7º15” in orb of each other. Meanwhile, the Sun is moving towards a square to the Moon’s Nodal Axis in Cancer and Capricorn as well as a conjunction to Chiron.
Mars represents the need to take action while Jupiter represents the push to move beyond boundaries. Pluto represents the underworld and things other people want but don’t always say. Meanwhile Saturn represents the need to maintain the past as a foundation for building the future.
This could be a time of increased polarity when some people try to move into the future while other people do everything they can to maintain the status quo. Some people may want change without any consideration of the consequences of that change. Other people may want to stay the same without regard for how positive changes can create a better future. Once again people may become divisive.
On a personal level, this equinox represents the importance of understanding future goals without forgetting the lessons from the past. Change can be a positive thing if that change builds on what’s happened before. Holding on to the past because it provides security may not be such a good thing. The old saying, better the devil you know rather than the one you don’t, could actually lead to more difficulties.
Within the United States, all the cardinal ingress charts have a Scorpio rising. That means that whatever happens throughout this astrological year (from March 2020 to February 2021) will have a lasting impact on the population. Both Mars and Pluto, which are part of the stellium, rule the sign of Scorpio. So it means that if there is any military action, that action will take years before it’s settled. If there are any financial problems, they will last for several years. Prepare yourself for any potential financial situation by lowering your debt as well as increasing your savings.
To find out how the equinox affects your specific country, just set up an Aries equinox chart for the capitol of your country. The Moon in a specific house will tell you how the public reactions to circumstances while the Ascendant (or Rising Sign) will let you know how global events might impact your country.
When Mars forms a conjunction to Jupiter on March 20th, you feel as if you can do anything. You have a lot of energy. You’re optimistic about life. You just want to find your place in the world and enjoy it.
You’ll experience the start of a major paradigm shift as Saturn enters the sign of Aquarius on March 21st. Right now it will only take a short journey into the sign of Aquarius as it turns retrograde at 1º7” and re-enters the sign of Capricorn on July 1st. Because Saturn is in the sign of Aquarius for a short time period this year, you may not experience the paradigm shifts until after December 17th when Saturn re-enters the sign of Aquarius. When it does re-enter the sign of Aquarius, it will remain in that sign until March 7, 2023.
You may even want to look at the events that occurred from February 6, 1991 to May 21, 1993 and again from June 30, 1993 to January 28, 1994. That was the previous time Saturn was in Aquarius.
Saturn represents the structure that you need to create in order to function in society. It’s the rules and regulations that are important for you to maintain. In mundane astrology, Saturn rules the administrative body of the government, as well as the collective history of corporations and other institutions.
Aquarius represents friends and acquaintances: People in your life that you associate with but are not necessarily intimate with. On a mundane level, Aquarius represents inventions and new concepts which society needs to consider. It also represents the House of Representatives in political astrology. Or, if your country doesn’t have a House of Representatives, it represents the administrative body of government which is supposed to represent the people.
Saturn rules both Capricorn and Aquarius, although a lot of people forget its rulership of Aquarius. Too often they give the rulership of Aquarius only to Uranus. But Saturn in Aquarius represents the need to create structure around new inventions and ideas, as well as implement societal approaches to new concepts. Saturn in Aquarius also represents the need of society to communicate with others across various spectrums. Finally, and most importantly, Saturn in Aquarius represents the desire of government leaders and individuals to level the playing field when it comes to wealth.
When Saturn is in Capricorn, you tend to be conservative in your approach to life. You don’t want to take too many risks. You want to have a place in society. But, when Saturn enters the sign of Aquarius you start approaching life differently. Often you’re tired of trying to live up to everyone else’s expectations. You want to find your own way. And, you want changes in your life that make it better for you. You try to find ways to take innovative ideas and make them more conventional. This means that you want any innovative ideas to have a practical side.
But there is also a dark side to Saturn in Aquarius. It can represent where you repress your need to make changes in your life or, where you allow other people to dictate the changes. Therefore, Saturn in Aquarius can also rule dictatorships because you look for leaders that appear innovative but it’s all for show.
Some of the changes you’ll see when Saturn is in Aquarius may surprise you. When it comes to art, Saturn in Aquarius tends to involve bold colors, yet optical distortions and flowing imagery. That may seem counter intuitive, but it’s not. There is this need to create art where your mind completes the image. In this way, the artist wants you to fill in the blank.
This could also happen in advertising. You’ll see images of situations where there’s only a partial visual. The need to finish the visual actually uses your mind’s notions, perhaps biases, to finish the details.
This can also play out in technology where memes increase and the use of imagery needs to be scrutinized. You may find that there is more software out there which can change what people say without you even realizing that’s happening.
Economically there is always a desire to level the playing field. Because people want to be part of society, they want to participate in the rewards of society just like everyone else. You don’t want to be left out because of financial hardships. For this reason, you may see more firms hire internal diversity directors. Or, you may find that more firms are reviewing their culture to see where diverse groups can work together. You may also see an increase of day care centers being offered as one of the benefits to working at a company.
Where there could be problems is in the banking industry as more commercial ventures are set up to take over banking tasks without actually being banks or being regulated by the same rules found in the banking industry. There will be more bank mergers as the neighborhood bank gives way to the international bank. And, as is already the trend, there will be increased use of electronic transfers of money, even between friends. The push is to eliminate checking accounts and eventually cash.
The strides that you can expect in the communications field are too numerous to mention. But the push to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues. Algorithms are just starting to make their way into your lives. At the same time, there will be a backlash as people begin to realize there is a bias written into the algorithms and not everything is being interpreted the right way.
But the largest area of concern will focus on infrastructure. This could be the need to replace sewer and water lines. Or, it could involve the transportation systems. Where the systems are old and not updated, you’ll see them crumbling. Attention needs to be put on these areas.
But there is more to infrastructure than just water and sewer lines, or transportation systems. The entire planet is an infrastructure that works together. What happens in one part of the world is felt in other parts of the planet. More people will become concerned with pollution of water, especially from plastic and other debris. The use of pesticide on food products will come under greater scrutiny. You’ll want a cleaner and safer environment starting in your home and continuing in the world.
In the long run, you want to be treated with respect when Saturn is in Aquarius. You want this treatment in your relationships with people. You want this treatment in relationship with the world where you feel you have a safe place to live and can consume safe food. You want to use new ideas to make your life easier. You aren’t as trusting of authority figures and you start questioning those areas of your life that lack clarity. At the same time, you want to fit into society. You want to receive the benefits of your society.
On March 22nd, Mercury forms a sextile to Uranus and Venus forms a sextile to Neptune. When Mercury forms the sextile to Uranus, it will be the third and last time this sextile occurs in this triad sequence. The first time this occurred was on February 5th when Mercury was direct. The second time this occurred was on February 28th when Mercury was retrograde. Now Mercury is once again direct. Any new information which you received in February may finally make sense today. You understand how to process this information.
When Venus forms the sextile to Neptune, you’re able to take new information that you processed earlier in the day and come up with creative solutions. You feel very creative in your approach to life. You may even meet someone new who can bring joy to your life.
You have a lot of energy when Mars forms the conjunction to Pluto on March 23rd. You’re able to focus and achieve your goals. No job seems too difficult for you. Just be a little careful that you don’t focus so much on your achievements that you fail to find the humor in life that’s around you.
When the new Moon occurs on March 24th, you want to take action because this new Moon is in the sign of Aries. At the same time, you want to be very careful because this new Moon also forms a conjunction to Chiron. This means that you don’t want to do anything that can bring you or people you love harm.
What’s interesting about this new Moon is that it also forms a square to the Moon’s Nodal Axis. While a new Moon indicates that it’s important to start new projects, don’t be at all surprised if many things from the past start surfacing in your life. So, while you want to make new progress, you may find that you need to resolve some past conflicts before you can move on with your life.
You feel lucky on March 28th as Venus forms a trine to Jupiter and a trine to Pluto. You know that you can achieve whatever you want. Your charisma is high today. People around you support your projects and your needs. You can move forward in life with confidence. You’ll also feel the passion that comes when you know other people support your needs and goals.
When Mars enters the sign of Aries on March 30th, you find that you want to be more involved in social activities. You may even decide that it’s time to volunteer for some organizations. It’s very important for you to feel that you’re taking care of important things in the world.
The very next day after Mars enters the sign of Aquarius, it forms a conjunction to Saturn on March 31st. You find that you take involvements more seriously now. You don’t want to put up with anyone playing games with you. You want to make certain that all is safe in your corner of the world. And while only Jupiter and Pluto are now conjunct in Capricorn, you still search for ways to belong in this world and feel a part of your society.
