Values to Consider

By Misty Kuceris ©2021

As the month begins, Mercury in Gemini is in retrograde motion. It went retrograde on May 29, 2021. In addition, Mercury only makes one aspect to another planet this month. That’s a square to Neptune on June 5th when Mercury is retrograde. Mercury doesn’t make the third square until July when it is direct once again.

Meanwhile, Venus makes a lot of aspects this month. Perhaps there’s a subconscious need to understand what you value and how you need to put that value into the real world. Or, perhaps it means that what you value is important and you don’t need to listen to the values of others. Or, let what they value dictate you.

As Venus enters the sign of Cancer on June 2nd, you feel comfortable. Venus represents what you value in life. It also represents your home and family. What some people may call the core of your being or the harbor for your safety.

While you enjoy being with family members, you enjoy your privacy much more. This is a great time to make changes in your home and find ways to bring more beauty into your home. Don’t be at all surprised if you decide that it’s time to make some updates or landscape your yard.

As Venus forms the trine to Jupiter on June 3rd, you feel very optimistic about your life. You feel loved by other people. You feel as if you can accomplish anything because people are there to support you and even prop you up if you need it. This is a good day to try and get things done, especially since the Moon is also in Aries.

On June 5th, Mercury retrograde forms a square to Neptune. Mars will also form an opposition to Pluto retrograde less than one hour after this aspect occurs. This is the second time that Mercury is forming a square to Neptune in this triad sequence. The first time this occurred was on May 22nd when both Mercury and Neptune were direct. The last time this occurs is on July 6th when Mercury is direct and Neptune is retrograde.

Even though Mercury didn’t go retrograde until May 29th, you may have felt as if it went retrograde on May 22nd the first time this aspect occurred.

It’s not always easy to communicate when Mercury forms a square to Neptune, especially now that Mercury is retrograde. You feel as if people aren’t listening to your needs. Or, you can’t make any sense of what they’re saying.

In the worst possible situation, it may be that you were deceived by someone the first time this aspect occurred on May 22nd and now that Mercury is retrograde you need to review this situation and find out the truth. At the same time you may not discover the truth until July 6th when this aspect occurs for the last time.

It is important not to sign any contracts, not just because Mercury is retrograde but because this aspect to Neptune indicates that important information is being withheld from you. Also, once again this could indicate some form of computer hacking or malware installation. The problem is that you don’t always find out about any computer problems until later, which could be around July 6th when this aspect occurs for the last time.

Less than one hour after Mercury retrograde forms the square to Neptune, Mars forms an opposition to Pluto retrograde. Now you feel frustrated as well as confused. You feel that other people are trying to control you but withholding information. You also don’t know which action to take. The best thing to do is pull back and observe. By watching the actions that other people are taking, you may gain a better understanding of what’s actually going on.

The second eclipse of the year occurs on June 10th. This is an Annular Solar Eclipse which occurs at the time of a new Moon. During this solar eclipse, both the Sun and Moon are in Gemini and conjunct Mercury retrograde. Later this evening, Ceres forms a conjunction to Uranus.

An annular eclipse is an incredible sight. For people who live in the area of visibility, they will see a ring of fire. This means that the Moon will obscure the Sun from the center and the edges of the Sun will shine brilliantly around that darkened Moon. If you live in portions of Canada, Greenland, and Russia you will see this ring of fire. Individuals living in Northern Asia, Europe, and the United States will see a partial eclipse. Here in the greater DC metropolitan area, you’ll see the partial eclipse in the early morning hours, 5:47 am EDT, just after sunrise begins at 5:42 am EDT. The eclipse will end at 6:29 am EDT. This eclipse is part of Saros 147.

During the time period of a solar eclipse, the Moon blocks the Sun. The Moon, which represents water and our emotions, can often extinguish the Sun, which represents fire and our vitality. The Sun also represents how we need to take action in our lives. Yet, the Moon indicates how we need to protect ourselves in order to survive. Often when an annular solar eclipse occurs, we find that we want to shine but others won’t let us.

Look for greater political problems in portions of Canada, Greenland, and Russia where the actual annular eclipse is visible.  Many of these problems will deal with free speech since the Sun and Moon are in Gemini. In other parts of the world where the partial eclipse occurs, you’ll find difficulties with communications and also internet services.

In your personal life, this is a time to review how you communicate with other people. You need to take care of your words. You need to pay attention to what others are saying. You may even get conflicting information from authority sources. As difficult as it can be, you need to research your information to make certain that you’re getting the facts.

This is also a time when you need to guard your privacy very carefully. Information breaches may occur. Try not to give out too much information so that it’s not given out to others.

With Ceres forming the conjunction to Uranus not that long after the Solar Annular Eclipse, you may find that unexpected things happen in your environment. Or, this could also indicate an accident due to old or shoddy construction. The key is to move cautiously in your environment so you’re not in an accident.

This could also indicate a totally different energy which can be very positive. It might mean that you encounter an old friend or acquaintance who can help you resolve some problems that have been bothering you for a while. You may actually come up with some new solutions you didn’t consider before.

June 11th is one of those days where you want to go out into the world and have fun because Mars enters the sign of Leo. At the same time, you want to be very cautious in your interactions with others as Ceres forms a square to Saturn retrograde later in the day. The best way to balance these two energies is to create some structured events where you get together with your friends but you don’t take too many risks. This way you’ll enjoy their company while feeling very safe.

When Venus in Cancer forms the square to Chiron on June 12th you want to make certain that you don’t hurt other people. You’ve very sensitive to their needs. It’s great that you care about others. Just make certain that as you care for them, you also take the time to meet your own needs.

Venus is very active on June 13th as it forms a sextile to Uranus, a quincunx to Saturn retrograde, and a sextile to Ceres. And, these aspects work very well with each other. You’ll find that this is a very good day on a personal and emotional level.

When Venus forms that sextile to Uranus, you’re ready for any adventure. You’re willing to take risks. You’re willing to try new things. You’re even willing to meet with people who are very different from you.

As Venus moves into the quincunx with Saturn retrograde you wonder if you need to make some changes in your approach to life. Perhaps you created too much structure and that structure is now getting in your way. This is a good time to re-evaluate the rules that you live by to determine if they need to change.

When Venus forms the sextile to Ceres, you recognize just how important your environment is. You’re willing to take care of things in your life. You’re also willing to compromise to get more value in your life. You’re actually in a good place.

When Saturn retrograde forms a square to Uranus on June 14th, this is the second time this square occurs in this triad sequence. The first time it occurred was on February 17, 2021, when Saturn and Uranus were both direct. The last time it occurs is on December 24, 2021, when Saturn is direct and Uranus is retrograde.

Meanwhile, Mars will form a quincunx to Jupiter about 2.5 hours after this aspect occurs and may be felt at the time of this aspect.

When this aspect occurred in February 2021, you witnessed quite a few global events: The military coup in Myanmar; wildfires in Australia; Russian opposition leader Alexey Navalny jailed for alleged parole violations; and NASA Perseverance Rover landing safely on Mars. In the United States even more occurred: Jeff Bezos announced he was stepping down as CEO of Amazon; the second impeachment trial of Donald Trump ended in acquittal; a Candle Lighting Service held by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris honored the 500,000 United States individuals who died due to COVID-19 (more than the total that died in World War I, World War II, and the Vietnam War combined); and a major snow and ice storm that spread from Texas to Maine killing at least 31 persons and leaving over 3 million without power in Texas.

Saturn represents both infrastructure and authority figures while Uranus represents unexpected events as well as war and rebellion. So, there’s little surprised that the first time this aspect occurred in this triad sequence people experienced a lot of upheaval that lead to changes in some government infrastructure or in other instances led to the realization that the infrastructure as is cannot continue working.

Because Saturn and Uranus are outer planets, it means that they travel slower than the personal planets (such as Mercury, Venus, and Mars) would. So, this aspect is an underlying current which began operating beneath the surface in February 2021 and will continue until the last time this aspect occurs in December 2021. Throughout this year, you’ll continue to see upheaval with various governments. You’ll also see extremes continue when it comes to the climate and the world’s geography. The earth is an infrastructure just as are buildings that people create.

On a personal level, Saturn represents your foundation and the scaffolding that you build in your personal life so you can move forward as a member of society. It also represents cultivated gardens which enable you to grow in a way that nourishes your life and the people you love. But, in the negative, Saturn represents constrictions and rules that prevent you from doing what you want. So, the first time that this aspect occurred in February, it was important to look at the structure you created in your life which provided you with safety and security.

Meanwhile Uranus represents your desire for both personal freedom and acceptance as you live your life. Uranus also represents the unexpected. What that means is that if you are in the right place spiritually, you usually get some form of unexpected reward when Uranus is active in your chart. But, if you are in the wrong place energetically, it means that circumstances occur which pull you away from your situation and force you to re-evaluate what you need to do in life. If you were placed in a situation where you needed to re-evaluate your goals in life, now is actually a good time to start implementing some of those goals. Or, if you prefer to wait, at least take the time to review your daily routine to make certain it’s supporting your future goals.

This need to review your daily routine becomes even more important as Mars forms the quincunx to Jupiter after the square between Saturn retrograde and Uranus. There’s a tendency to rush into situations when Mars forms an aspect to Jupiter. But if you can slow down, approach circumstances slowly, and not take any risks, you find that you’re able to get things down in a safe manner.

In the morning hours, EDT, of June 20th, Jupiter turns retrograde and in the evening hours, EDT, the Sun enters the sign of Cancer and the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere begins.

Jupiter entered the sign of Pisces for the first time on May 13, 2021. Now, just a little more than one month later, Jupiter is turning retrograde and will re-enter the sign of Aquarius on July 28th. When it’s in the sign of Aquarius, Jupiter will turn direct on October 18, 2021 and re-enter the sign of Pisces on December 28, 2021 until May 10, 2022. Then, Jupiter will be in Pisces one more time from October 28, 2022 until December 20, 2022.

Because Jupiter wasn’t in the sign of Pisces for that long at this point, you may not have noticed it’s energetic shift yet. Instead, you’ll feel a strong pull back to the past as people try to prevent some of the paradigm shifts that will be occurring throughout the year 2022 when Jupiter remains in the sign of Pisces for a longer period of time.

It’s important to note that although Jupiter is in its own sign of Pisces, there is a duality to this sign. It’s symbolized by two fish, tied together, yet swimming in different directions. When Jupiter in Pisces is retrograde you want to review your life to determine whether you’re swimming in the direction you want to go or whether you’re letting the circumstances or others dictate your direction. As you make that determination, it’s important that you let go of those areas of your life which aren’t giving you the spiritual satisfaction you seek.

On a mundane level, Jupiter represents legal matters. So, it’s important not to begin any legal actions during this time period because you won’t do very well in presenting your case. Either you don’t have a case or you don’t have all the facts that you need. Instead, unless there is a filing deadline you can’t avoid, spend more time researching the facts to be able to make a more accurate presentation at the right time.

For individuals who are self-employed a retrograde Jupiter is important to pay attention to. This is a time period to re-evaluate your marketing strategies. Not necessarily start a new strategy, but rather determine whether your current strategy is working. The time to make any changes is after Jupiter goes direct in October 2021.

When the Sun enters Cancer and the Summer Solstice occurs in the Northern Hemisphere, you feel as if there’s a breath of fresh air going around. Actually, you’ll even feel this as the Winter Solstice occurs in the Southern Hemisphere. This is because as the Sun enters the sign of Cancer it forms a grand water trine with the Moon in Scorpio and Jupiter in Pisces which has just turned retrograde.

With the Moon forming an opposition to the Uranus/Ceres conjunction and a square to Mars and Saturn retrograde, you also experience the energy of a fixed T-square. This means that while you’re looking forward to re-entering the world and socializing with other people, you’re also willing to be cautious. You don’t want to do anything that can cause injury to you or someone you love. You’re willing to hold on to what is important while finding ways to incorporate new things into your life.

Venus forming a trine to Neptune on June 21st can be a magical time period. You want to find creative ways to enjoy life. You’re willing to trust people. You also want to get involved with spiritual matter, perhaps even create a sacred space if you don’t have one yet. This is the time to treat yourself with value, love, and self-worth.

You’ll start breathing a sigh of relief on June 22 when Mercury in Gemini turns direct. It went retrograde on May 29th.

This has not been the easiest Mercury retrograde. Actually they never are easy when Mercury is in the sign of Gemini, it’s rulership. That’s because usually Mercury knows how to operate when it comes to communications and transport. This time though it wasn’t so easy. You may have experienced computer problems. Or, perhaps transportation issues. Or, you may have had to deal with your neighbors or siblings about matters that normally aren’t that important yet during the retrograde time period created tension.

Now with Mercury direct you can clear up any communication problems with other people. You can also start taking a look at various documents and get them in order. Or, if you need to make a major purchase you no longer have to worry about missing all those details in the fine print.

As Venus forms the opposition to Pluto retrograde on June 23rd, you want to make certain that no one controls your actions, especially with Chiron forming a sextile to Saturn retrograde a few hours later. If someone tries to tell you what to do, you’ll get into an argument with them. But the good news is that with Chiron forming the sextile to Saturn retrograde, you’ll be able to give other people very specific reasons as to why they need to leave you alone and not tell you what to do.

When the full Moon occurs on June 24th, you’re ready to take care of things at home. That’s because the Sun is in Cancer and the Moon is in Capricorn. Perhaps you were putting off some major appliance purchase. Or, perhaps you needed to make some renovations, but you didn’t want people to come into your home. Now you’re ready for them.

You’re also ready to make changes with your work routine. If you’ve been working at home it’s highly likely that you’ll need to start putting some hours at the office. Or, you may realize that you need to establish better boundaries between your workday and your personal time. Plus, you need to create some differentiating space between your home and your home-based office. The good news is that you’ll be able to do this because Venus is forming an opposition to Pluto retrograde indicating that you now know how to be in control of your life.

When Neptune turns retrograde on June 25th you won’t feel it too much. Neptune already works behind the scenes. And, in retrograde motion, it’ll work behind the scenes even more so. If you need to put things away in a secure place, this is a good time to do that. When Neptune does turn

direct on December 1st, you may find some items you’ve misplaced during Neptune’s retrograde time period.

When Venus enters the sign of Leo on June 27th all you can think about is the fun you’re going to have. You feel that you can go out into the world and live life. You’re even planning your vacation time. This is a great time to just enjoy your space and life.

As the month ends, Venus forms a quincunx to Jupiter retrograde on June 28th. Venus actually just entered the sign of Leo yesterday and pretty soon Jupiter retrograde will re-enter the sign of Aquarius. So today is a day of adjustment where you just want to figure things out so you can decide on the next direction of your life. It’s that day where you consider what you value both for today and also for the long term so you can make the best decisions.
