Confusion May Continue

With Mars turning retrograde and both Jupiter and Saturn turning direct in the month of September, you’re going to feel confused about your best course of action: To pull back and observe life or to create plans and move forward with them. For this reason, it’s fitting that the month starts with Mercury forming a trine to Pluto retrograde on September 1st. This is a day where your ability to focus on important matters is elevated. You are able to take events or experiences from the past and utilize that knowledge to your advantage. You can think things through. You see the political implications of situations. You even understand when others try to play a power game with you. You just need to be a little cautious and not get sucked into the games others are playing. You want to use this energy to create new situations which improve your personal position.

The full Moon, with Sun in Virgo and Moon in Pisces, occurs on September 2nd followed by Venus forming an opposition to Saturn retrograde a few hours later.

During this full Moon you want to find that balance between your aspirations and daily life. You want to understand your dreams and find a way to incorporate them in a realistic manner. It actually helps that the Sun is forming a trine to Uranus retrograde while the Moon is forming a sextile to Uranus retrograde. With these aspects you’re able to understand new information you receive. And you’re able to gain insight into prior events because you are now able to view them from a new perspective.

As Venus moves into the opposition to Saturn retrograde, you’re able to determine what aspirations are the most realistic and which ones just are dreams that can’t bring you any success. You know which projects to just abandon because they are too unrealistic.

As Mercury forms a trine to Saturn retrograde on September 3rd you continue to consider how to implement realistic goals in your life. You’re actually able to organize your plans and create milestones for their implementation. What’s so good about this day is that you can find solutions to any problems that crop up.

When Mercury enters the sign of Libra on September 5th, you want to communicate your needs to others, especially since Mercury is separating from a sextile to Venus. You care about what others think. Their input is important to you.

Being accepted is very important on September 6th when Venus enters the sign of Leo. When Venus is in Leo, there’s a desire to be generous to other people. You don’t want to take anyone for granted. You also want to include them in your social life because now you want to have fun.

With Mercury and Venus still forming a sextile to each other, you feel the energy of a yod starting on September 7th when Mercury forms a quincunx to Ceres retrograde. This yod will continue through September 8th as Venus also forms a quincunx to Ceres retrograde. Ceres represents the environment that you need to create in order to feel safe. It also indicates how much compromise you may feel that you need to make in your relationships with others. With Ceres in Pisces, especially in retrograde motion, it’s important that you don’t let other people take advantage of you either today, September 7th, or tomorrow, September 8th.

The way that people make take advantage of you today, September 7th, is by trying to get you to fight their battles. Or, they may try to put words into your mouth and not pay attention to what you’re saying. It’s important that you listen to them so that you understand what they really mean, not just what they’re saying. It’s also important that you stand up for your rights and not let them tell you what they think is right.

When Venus forms the quincunx to Ceres retrograde on September 8th, you may feel bad that you can’t solve everyone else’s problems, but that’s the lesson for you today. This is a day where you need to understand what’s important for you; where you can and where you won’t compromise. This is also a day where you can’t let people take advantage of your generous nature. Once again, you need to stand up for your rights and not be taken advantage of.

On September 9th, Mars in Aries turns retrograde. It will remain retrograde until November 13, 2020.

Every two years Mars goes retrograde. Normally Mars is in a sign for about eight weeks. But, when Mars goes retrograde it’s in the same sign for a little over seven months. Basically, Mars is retrograde for about 70 days. In this case, Mars entered the sign of Aries on June 27, 2020. Because of the retrograde period, Mars will stay in the sign of Aries until January 6, 2021 when it enters the sign of Taurus.

Normally when Mars is in the sign of Aries, the sign it rules, you want to participate in the world and make your presence known. But with Mars retrograde, you tend to pull back and temper your aggressive nature. This can cause feelings of frustration. It’s as if you’re a volcano simmering beneath the surface and waiting for the right pressure to release that energy and explode. What this means is that you may not deal with conflicts right now but put them off until November 13th when Mars goes direct.

It’s very important to understand your frustrations and try to resolve them during this retrograde period. You want people to know your needs so you don’t become disenfranchised. While there’s a tendency to work alone when Mars is in Aries, you need to find ways to work with others on any mutual goals. Weird as it may sound, this Mars retrograde period can actually give you the time you need to understand other people and to express your own needs in a way that you may find some resolutions to problems.

Continue to listen to what other people have to say on September 10th as Mercury forms an opposition to Chiron retrograde. Try to understand the meaning behind their words. Don’t take anything at face value. People, including you, want to discuss sensitive matters without seeming as if they feel so deeply.

September 12th is another day where communications is important as Mercury forms a quincunx to Uranus retrograde before Jupiter turns direct.

When Mercury forms that quincunx to Uranus retrograde, there’s a tendency to speak before thinking. Your words can get you in trouble. In addition, it’s difficult to concentrate on just one thing. Because of this inability to focus, you might actually get into an accident. So do the best you can to pay attention to your environment so an accident doesn’t need to happen.

As Jupiter turns direct later in the day, you feel less stuck. You feel as if some aspects of your life can finally move forward. And this is an important change of motion because now that Jupiter is direct it’s getting prepared to move out of the sign of Capricorn and into the sign of Aquarius on December 19, 2020.

Jupiter initially entered the sign of Capricorn on December 2, 2019. It went retrograde on May 14, 2020. In the sign of Capricorn, Jupiter focuses on structures, leadership, and historical references that are used to make decisions about the future. It also represents business matters, credit ratings, advertising and the marketing of specific visions, and legal matters. With Jupiter in Capricorn understanding tradition and its impact in your life is very critical.

When Jupiter was retrograde, people started looking at the traditions in their society. For some the traditions honored their heritage and the very foundations of their lives. But for others, tradition emphasized just how disenfranchised they are in society. A conflict over the very definition of tradition arose while Jupiter was retrograde. Now with Jupiter in direct motion it’s time to determine which traditions value individuals and which traditions disenfranchise people. More importantly, it’s time to retire those traditions which disenfranchise people. If it doesn’t happen now, it will happen when Jupiter moves into Aquarius.

Spiritually Jupiter in Capricorn gives you the opportunity to understand how to use your past experience to build a better future for yourself and those people in your life that you love. It also represents the need to share your goals with important people in your life so they can support you in the achievement of those goals. With Jupiter now direct in Capricorn, you’ll know how to use your past experience to build a better future.

You can achieve quite a bit on September 13th as Venus forms a trine to Chiron retrograde. You understand what other people are going through. You know how to approach life in an empathetic way. You don’t want to take anything for granted. And, you let other people know just how much you appreciate them.

You need to be very careful with your finances on September 15th when Venus forms the square to Uranus retrograde, especially since Uranus is in the sign of Taurus. You don’t want to negotiate in any matters that involve your finances. You don’t want other people to take advantage of you. But, you may also find that you suddenly have an unexpected expense that you need to deal with.

On a totally different note, don’t be at all surprised if you find someone from your past re-entering your life. It’s not uncommon to run into an old friend or acquaintance when Venus forms any aspect to Uranus, especially with Uranus in retrograde motion right now.

Twenty minutes before the new Moon occurs on September 17th, Mercury forms a square to Jupiter. This can play out in so many ways. Squares between Mercury and Jupiter aren’t necessarily bad.

Both Mercury and Jupiter deal with how the mind works. Mercury likes to get involved in the trivia of the matter while Jupiter looks at the big picture. So, you may feel a little conflicted as you try to determine if understanding the facts really has any impact on determining the big picture. On a positive note though, this aspect can help you use the facts you know so you can be successful as you develop future plans.

The new Moon which occurs has both the Sun and Moon in Virgo and forms a trine to Jupiter, Pluto retrograde, and Saturn retrograde while also forming a quincunx to Mars retrograde. This is a day where understanding the facts helps you develop plans as well as create zones of safety in your life. You also realize that the old way of doing things isn’t going to work. So, you need to develop new ways for doing things. This is exactly the purpose of this new Moon: Finding the next steps to take so that you can move on with your life.

Also, because the new Moon is in the sign of Virgo and making these aspects, this is the time to focus on your health. You want to determine the best life style so that you can improve your well-being. This is not the time to turn to any fancy eating trends. Rather, this is the time to make certain you have that balance with your diet and exercise program.

Be very careful with contracts on September 18th as Mercury forms a quincunx to Neptune retrograde. You’re either not being told the truth, or you’re not getting all the facts you need in order to make an informed decision. Other people may try to charm you, but take everything you hear with a grain of salt. You can’t believe them.

Mercury will form a square to Pluto retrograde and Venus a quincunx to Jupiter later in the day on September 21st.

With Mercury forming the square to Pluto retrograde, you can focus more on situations in your life. You feel as if you want to get things done. You don’t want to let anything or anyone get in your way. At the same time, you may feel that others are trying to tell you what to do. If that happens, you’re not going to let them get away with it. You’re going to tell them off.

As Venus forms the quincunx to Jupiter later that evening, you want to make certain that others don’t take advantage of you. You want to move on with your life and follow up on any potential opportunities that come your way. You don’t want to lose out on anything. So, you may feel that you need to take advantage of a situation. But the reality is that this may be one of those times where this situation is not in your best interest. So consider letting go, and moving on.

On September 22nd the Sun enters the sign of Libra and the autumnal equinox begins in the northern hemisphere while the spring equinox begins in the southern hemisphere. This is considered the mid-point of the astrological year: A time where you evaluate what has occurred since the Aries equinox in mid-March to now.

At the time of this equinox, the chart indicates that a cardinal T-square is occurring that involves Mercury in Libra, Mars retrograde in Aries, and Jupiter, Pluto retrograde, and Saturn retrograde in the sign of Capricorn. Since March 2020, the world has been in the grip of the coronavirus pandemic. Social interactions have changed. Economies have suffered. Frustrations are elevated. In many ways countries and their populations have reached tipping points. This is shown by the cardinal T-square in this equinox chart. People want to have a life back where they can socialize with others. They want to know they can be safe. In many instances, they don’t want to be told what to do. In other instances, leaders in their countries have taken advantage of the pandemic to institute more rules and regulations. What you see today may be the start of what you can expect over the next six months.

On a personal level, you need to determine how you want your lifestyle to continue. What changes do you need to make? How will you interact with other people in your life? What rules and regulations are you willing to follow? And how can you reach out to your loved ones when you feel frustrated and just need to know others care about you?

Usually at the time of the Libra ingress you know what you need to release from your life in order to move on. But, this time it will be different with the conjunction of Jupiter, Pluto retrograde, and Saturn retrograde forming a sextile to Neptune retrograde in this chart you need to move slowly with your life. You really won’t know for the next six months how various changes will affect you. But the Sun forming a quincunx to Ceres retrograde indicates that you need to make changes in your life that increase your sense of safety. This means reaching out to friends and family with the understanding that you need to develop a community to find a way to regain some semblance of control over your life.

A few hours after Mercury forms a square to Saturn retrograde on September 32rd, Venus forms a quincunx to Neptune retrograde.

While Mercury doesn’t go retrograde until October 13, 2020 and in the sign of Scorpio, you will start feeling the effects of Mercury retrograde on September 23rd when it forms a square to Saturn retrograde. The reason for this is that Mercury begins a triad sequence with Saturn on this day. The second time this square occurs is on November 1, 2020 when Mercury is retrograde and Saturn is direct, two days before the USA Presidential election. The third time this square occurs is on November 6, 2020, three days after the USA Presidential election.

September 23, 2020 may not seem to matter initially but this is going to be an important date. Watch what occurs and it will give you a sense of what you can expect after the election date. Mercury represents not only our ability to communicate in person, but it also represents other modes of communication, including the postal service. Saturn represents structure and foundations. With Saturn retrograde at this time, it means there is an evaluation of the various structures in our lives. And, it also indicates difficulty with the postal service.

The postal service has been under attack for quite some time and also losing money. In the last several months, the attack of the postal agency has escalated. As people may decide to cast absentee ballots, this could become a major issue in the United States Presidential election. Watch for various attempts to control the mail-in ballots from different political parties and political action groups.

On a personal level, this is the time period where you need to discuss important matters with family and friends. You want to determine the best way to relate to them. You need to honor their decisions on how they want to re-enter society. At the same time, you need to discuss safety measures and how to decrease risks.

A few hours after Mercury forms the square to Saturn retrograde, Venus forms a quincunx to Neptune retrograde. You do not want to sign any contracts today or make any major purchases. You don’t have all the facts you need. Either people are outright lying to you or misrepresenting the facts. It will be very difficult getting the information you need.

You need to continue to be cautious on September 26th as Venus forms a quincunx to Pluto retrograde. There are always power plays when Venus is involved with Pluto. Power plays can be political where various factions are fighting to control a situation. Power plays can also be personal where people in your life are trying to tell you how they want you to live your life. So it’s very important that you understand what you need in life and not let anyone else dictate to you.

As soon as Ceres retrograde re-enters the sign of Aquarius on September 27th, Mercury in Libra forms a trine to it. Meanwhile, about 20 minutes later Mercury enters the sign of Scorpio.

Ceres initially entered the sign of Aquarius on January 31, 2020 and stayed there until April 23, 2020 when it entered the sign of Pisces. It turned retrograde in the sign of Pisces on July 7, 2020 and is now re-entering the sign of Aquarius.

When Ceres was in the sign of Pisces, you wanted to do everything you could to help other people. Your level of compassion was heightened as was your level of empathy for the plight of others. Now that Ceres is re-entering the sign of Aquarius, you want to focus on your goals in life. While you may feel a little disconnected from your emotions, you want to be part of a team. You don’t want to do things on your own. And, you’re willing to put in the work you need in order to meet your goals.

As Mercury forms the trine to Ceres retrograde, you realize that you need to understand other people if you want to get things done. At the same time, you’re actually tired of supporting others. (Normally this might not be the interpretation here, but Mercury will be entering the sign of Scorpio in less than 30 minutes.)

What this means is that you are ready to give every individual their own space. You realize that the best way to help people is for them to learn from their own mistakes or experiences. You don’t want to take care of them. You want to take care of yourself.

Mercury enters the sign of Scorpio about 20 minutes after Ceres retrograde re-enters the sign of Aquarius. You may feel a little frustrated when this occurs because you don’t want to discuss too much with others. You want to maintain your privacy. You become more introspective. You listen to what others have to say, but you don’t necessarily share information. Actually this is a good day to decide which people you want to associate with and those you would rather not interact with.

It’s very important that you don’t criticize yourself on September 28th when Venus forms a quincunx to Saturn retrograde. You need to be gentle with yourself. Yet, it’s too easy when this aspect occurs to feel that you’re not doing things right. It’s as if there’s an old man sitting on your shoulder who isn’t willing to give you a break. The key, especially with Venus in Leo, is to treat yourself well. Praise the actions that you’re taking. Realize that you can’t do it all by yourself. And, more importantly, realize that getting things done can take time.

As the month of September ends, Saturn in Capricorn turns direct and Mars retrograde forms a square to Saturn after it turns direct. Saturn had left the sign of Capricorn on March 21, 2020 when it entered the sign of Aquarius for a short time period. At 1º57” of Aquarius Saturn turned retrograde on May 11, 2020. It re-entered the sign of Capricorn on July 1, 2020. This time period of Saturn in Capricorn is the last time it will be in this sign for approximately 29 years. It will re-enter the sign of Aquarius on December 17, 2020 and remain there until March 7, 2023 when it enters the sign of Pisces.

It’s not uncommon for an outer planet to move into a new sign for a short time period only to turn retrograde and re-enter the previous sign for a short time period. When it first enters a new sign, you receive a hint of various paradigm shifts that will occur in the new sign. But when a planet returns back to the old sign for a short time period that occurs to help you resolve any problems which may have cropped up.

Now with Saturn direct, you really need to look at the foundations you created and whether changes need to be made. With the pandemic occurring there have been a lot of changes in how people deal with society. And, this is where you begin now. You take a look at your life so you can decide what’s important to you. You make changes where you need them to be made so you can be safe. You re-evaluate your feelings towards authority figures and determine who to believe and who to trust. You do find your energy returning as you start feeling that you can move on with your life.

After Saturn turns direct, Mars retrograde forms a square to Saturn. This could play out a few ways. One way is that you feel more patience in getting things done. You understand that you can’t push things before their time. You also understand the importance of structure in your life.

Another way that this can play out is that you feel frustrated that you have to wait a while before you can do anything. You realize that you have to put things in order, but you’d like to move faster. The reality is that you may still feel confused about your best course of action: To pull back and observe life or to create plans and move forward with them. Just know that whichever decision you make, you’re doing the best you can.
