Reaching Out

By Misty Kuceris ©2020

As the month of April begins, Venus enters the sign of Gemini and Mercury forms a conjunction to Neptune on April 3rd.

The need to communicate with others and feel a social connection is very important when Venus is in Gemini. You want to resolve problems through discussions. You believe that if you can relate to people intellectually you’ll be able to create solutions. Sometimes this works if everyone is willing to talk. But at other times, you may feel that people aren’t listening to you because they’re too busy expressing their opinions. Opening that line of communications is important right now, but it needs to be supported by feelings of compassion when other people don’t quite understand what you’re trying to say.

In many ways, it helps that Mercury is forming a conjunction to Neptune later in the day. Your feelings are stronger than usual and you understand the importance of applying compassion when you communicate. But at the same time, be a little cautious. You don’t always have all the facts when Mercury forms a conjunction to Neptune. Or, you may be interpreting information from your point of view rather than the facts that are being presented to you. For this reason, this is not a good day to sign any legal documents or make any long-term commitments.

As Venus forms a trine to Saturn on April 4th, you understand why it was so important not to draw any conclusions yesterday. Today you’re able to get more information. In addition, you feel a stronger commitment to resolve problems.

Not only do you take your relationships more seriously today. You also are willing to look at your financial matters. You may decide that you need to rework your budget. Or, you may be able to review contracts and see all the information you missed yesterday.

Several hours after Venus forms the trine to Saturn, Jupiter in Capricorn forms a conjunction to Pluto in Capricorn. This conjunction will occur a total of three times this year which is why I’m calling this a triad sequence. The second time this trine occurs is on June 30, 2020 when both Jupiter and Pluto are retrograde. The third time it occurs is on November 12, 2020 when both planets are direct again.

At the start of the year, the energy of Capricorn was very strong. There were seven energy points in the sign of Capricorn creating a stellium indicating a cascade of world events which shook the foundations as we know them. As the weeks passed this stellium in Capricorn started separating. Now what’s left of this stellium is this conjunction between Jupiter and Pluto. While you’ll experience the energy of this conjunction today, on April 4th, you’ll actually experience through most of the year until November 12, 2020 when the last trine occurs.

Normally Jupiter represents the desire to push boundaries and learn as much as possible. You don’t want other people to tell you what to do. You want to find your own way. But, Jupiter is in Capricorn and that changes the energy. When Jupiter is in Capricorn, you want to be part of the group. You don’t want to feel like an outsider. Rather than pushing the boundaries, you want to develop boundaries which represent your place in society. You may even feel that changes are occurring too quickly, making it difficult for you to adapt. Where you were willing to take risks you now find yourself becoming more conservative in your approach to life.

Pluto is more comfortable in the sign of Capricorn just because Capricorn represents society and the need to be conservative. The energy of Pluto works slowly and often behind the scenes. It can represent, especially in Capricorn, where you need to dissect the events of the world so you know how to empower yourself. It can also represent the desire for authority figures to help you through situations when you’re not sure what to do.

The conjunction between Jupiter and Pluto is a twelve-year cycle. But it doesn’t often occur in a triad sequence. The last time that the conjunction occurred was on December 11, 2007 and it only occurred once. But the last triad sequence of this conjunction was 1955 to 1956 and again in 1808.

This conjunction always occurs around time periods where a form of contraction also occurs. Immigration becomes a major issue with increased restrictions. Any economic expansions can be stifled. At the same time, the need to seek more economic equity increases as does the concern over working conditions and environmental safety. As difficult as it seems, one of the strongest lessons that comes during the time of a Jupiter/Pluto conjunction is the importance of establishing common goals which enable members of society to start working together. You won’t totally understand the implications of this energy until November 2020 when this aspect occurs for the last time in this triad sequence.

Before the full Moon occurs on April 7th, Mercury forms a sextile to both Pluto and Jupiter in Capricorn. This is particularly important because the full Moon creates a cardinal T-square with Pluto and Jupiter.

When Mercury forms the sextile to Pluto, you want to understand everything. You want to know what to do in order to retain your own sense of power. You don’t want other people to tell you what to do, but you are willing to listen to them. You realize that other people may have some important insight.

You also have a greater ability to focus on your goals. This focus will enable you to solve some long-term problems.

As Mercury forms the sextile to Jupiter a few hours later, you feel optimistic about your ability to solve problems. You know how to set future goals by looking at all possible solutions. You see both sides of the matter and even understand the small nuances involved in your decisions.

Less than a half-hour after Mercury forms the sextile to Jupiter, the full Moon occurs. Because Mercury formed sextiles to both Pluto and Jupiter earlier in the day, this energy is still in effect during the time of this full Moon.

With the Sun in Aries and the Moon in Libra, there is a cardinal T-square created with Pluto and Jupiter. You may doubt some of the solutions you developed earlier in the day. For this reason, it’s important that you understand your needs, especially in relationships with others. While you’re willing to listen to what other people have to say, you don’t want to lose your individuality.

Because this full Moon also emphasizes the Jupiter/Pluto conjunction which occurred on April 4th, you realize that you want to approach situations from a conservative point of view. You don’t want to be so extreme with your positions that you alienate people you love. The reality is that you are distressed by what you see going on in the world and you want to do something to change it. The key is to work together with people you love, especially as you strive to develop some long-term goals. Find a way to balance your needs with those of people you love and move forward with your life.

When Venus forms a sextile to Chiron on April 10th, you reach out to other people to create a healing space. You want to help others. It’s also important that you take care of yourself. Because Venus is in Gemini, a lot of the healing can come through discussions with others. You’re able to bring up important matters and hear what each other is saying.

When Mercury enters the sign of Aries on April 11th, you may have difficulty controlling your words. If people frustrated you when the full Moon occurred, you may find that you want to lash out at them; or perhaps other people who are in your life.

Putting yourself first is important, but you need to listen to others as well. And, that’s not easy right now. The key is to hold back until you hear what the other person is saying. You may think you’re winning the speaking battle, but the truth is that you’re putting people off if you don’t take the time to listen.

After Mercury enters the sign of Aries, it forms a sextile to Saturn. When Mercury is in Aries you feel frustrated if other people are trying to tell you what to do. But, when Mercury forms the sextile to Saturn, you realize some people do have your best interest at heart. Focus on what they have to say and then make your own decisions. You’ll be able to let them know how much you appreciate they input even if you make a different decision based on your needs.

April 12th is a day where you need to think about past actions you’ve taken in life that helped you increase your sense of future security. This is because Mercury forms a square to the Moon’s Nodal Axis which is in Cancer and Capricorn.

With the Moon’s South Node in Capricorn, you realize that many of the past foundations your created need to be re-evaluated. You may need to make some changes in order to move forward with your life.

With the Moon’s North Node in Cancer, you become aware that many of your future goals involve the need to increase your safety and security. You want to be with family and friends. You don’t want to spend so much time in work situations that you have no time left for important people in your life.

It helps that Mercury forms a conjunction to Chiron on April 15th because you can bring healing into not only your life, but the lives of people you love. You’re able to discuss important matters with them. You’re able to clear up old misunderstandings. You may even feel a lot of anger being released from your body. And, you may not even remember what that anger was about. You just feel good that it’s gone.

When the Sun enters the sign of Taurus on April 19th, you become more stubborn. You don’t want to let go of your ideas. But you need to be cautious because the Sun will form a square to Saturn and a conjunction to Uranus over the next few days. This means that other people may stand in your way. Or, you may get some new information which disrupts what you believed.

When the new Moon occurs on April 22nd, you want to move forward with your life. But this new Moon with Sun and Moon in Taurus forms a square to Saturn and a conjunction to Uranus. This is a very similar energy to when the Sun entered the sign of Taurus on April 19th. You may feel that other people are standing in your way. Or you may receive some unexpected information which upsets your plans.

It’s important that you move very slowly right now. You don’t want to be so stubborn that you miss opportunities. And, you don’t want to be so inflexible that if unexpected information does come up you are emotional thrown off guard.

Ceres enters the sign of Pisces on April 23rd. When Ceres is in Pisces, you want to avoid anger at all costs. You may even become passive/aggressive as a result. While your soul wants to be compassionate towards others, you may be unrealistic in your expectations. You may be looking for those perfect situations where they don’t exist. The key to success when Ceres is in Pisces is to use your ability to avoid anger and find a way to listen to other people and what they need.

Before Pluto turns retrograde on April 25th, Mercury forms a square to Pluto while Pluto is in station. With this square, you feel the need to discuss important matters with other people. At the same time, you want to control the conversation; meaning, that you aren’t willing to listen to others. Plus, you may feel a little stuck because Pluto is in station.

Be cautious in your conversations with others. Do the best you can not to get involved in power plays. It’s important to stand your ground. But it’s also important to realize other people are feeling the same way. Perhaps you’re better off using this energy as a means of self-examination. Dig into your subconscious mind to understand what you need. Take time to let information rise to the surface. Don’t force any conversations if discussions feel uncomfortable to you.

As Pluto starts shifting energies and turns retrograde you may not see any external results, but you may feel a shift of energy. You’re not as willing to take immediate action. You want to hold back until you understand situations. You don’t feel that taking risks is such a good thing. But you may not notice this subtle shift until October 4th when Pluto goes direct. All you know is that you were more willing to seek spiritual guidance or psychological help during the time period that Pluto is retrograde.

On April 26th, Mercury forms a square to Jupiter. You do need to be careful with what you say. You may open your mouth before you consider your words only to find out later that you regretted what you said. This isn’t a day for discussions because you may not consider your words. If possible, try to listen to what others have to say. If you don’t have the patience for that, do the best you can to avoid any social interactions.

Perhaps it’s a good thing that Mercury enters the sign of Taurus on April 27th. At this time you understand how important it is to think about things before discussing them with other people. Mercury in Taurus is an interesting placement. Some people feel that when Mercury is in Taurus, decisions are put off. But that’s not true. What’s happening is that more people want to know the facts before they make a decision. More importantly, they want to understand the facts and process the information. In the long run, you end up with better decisions.

On the next day, April 28th, Mercury forms a sextile to Ceres and a square to Saturn later in the day.

With Mercury in Taurus and Ceres in Pisces, you want to avoid arguments at all costs. You want to feel compassionate towards other people. You want to help where you can. But, you may become passive/aggressive if you feel that you are under attack. There’s a tendency to keep information to yourself. It’s important to confront situations when they occur today rather than trying to placate others. If you don’t confront those situations, you may feel some anger inside of you that explodes on April 30th when Mercury forms a conjunction to Uranus.

It actually helps that Mercury forms a square to Saturn later in the day. You do take things more seriously. You realize that you can’t put off some situations. Yet, you may also feel mentally fatigued. You may decide that you don’t want to talk to anyone at this time. You may become overly stubborn.

As the month of April ends, Mercury forms a conjunction to Uranus on April 30th. If you tried to avoid any confrontation on April 28th, you’ll find that you need to deal with it today. You can’t put it off any longer. However, if you took care of situations on April 28th, you’ll find that you can move on with your life. You’ll also get new information that can help you make better decisions.

And, as the month of April started, social connections and communications were important. When Mercury forms a conjunction to Uranus, you also want to find social connections with people. You want to share any new information you learn. And, you want to hear what information other people have.
