A Desire for Stability

When the month of March begins, Mercury forms a sextile to Ceres on March 2nd before Jupiter retrograde forms the opposition to Uranus. When this aspect occurs, you want to understand what’s happening in your environment. You want to know why. You’re willing to compromise if you have to. At the same time, you don’t want to give too much away. You want to protect what you have.
As Jupiter retrograde forms its second opposition to Uranus on March 2nd, you understand just how important it is to protect your environment because this aspect means that a lot of change is still occurring and you don’t understand all the changes that you’ll experience.
This is not the first time that Jupiter forms an opposition to Uranus. The first time that this opposition occurred was on December 26, 2016 when Jupiter was in direct motion and Uranus was retrograde. This opposition is part of a triad sequence so it will form a third opposition on September 28, 2017, when Jupiter is direct and Uranus is retrograde.
In addition to being part of a triad sequence, this Jupiter opposition to Uranus is also part of a greater energy. On November 24, 2016, Jupiter formed a square to Pluto when both were in direction motion. Near the end of this month, Jupiter retrograde will form a second square to Pluto, and on August 4, 2017, Jupiter will form its third square to Pluto. What this means is that Jupiter is creating the energy of a cardinal T-square which began in November 2016 and will continue until September 2017.
When a cardinal T-square occurs, you experience change both in your personal life and in the world. The change occurs quickly, from both expected and unexpected sources. While it doesn’t indicate a paradigm shift, it does indicate the various potential ways that an ongoing paradigm shift impacts your life. The last time that a cardinal T-square occurred was in 2013 and 2014. There is a difference between this cardinal T-square and the last one. At this time, Jupiter is in the sign of Libra. In 2013 and 2014, Jupiter was in the sign of Cancer.
The other difference between this cardinal T-square and the previous cardinal T-square that occurred in 2013 and 2014 is that Pluto is the tail end of the square now and Uranus was the tail end of the square in 2013 and 2014.
What occurred at that time will rise to the surface. The exact events may not occur, but actions from those events will need to be addressed over the next several months. Those actions involved cyberleaks, terrorism, massive immigrant movements, rise in populist politicians, as well as increase in privatized spacecraft development and technological changes with cars and health care. With Jupiter in Cancer and the tail end in Uranus at that time, people were concerned about changing their situations at home. They wanted to bring in the new world order, but they didn’t always consider the end result.
Now with Jupiter in Libra and the tail end in Pluto, you’ll find that some people are frightened of the changes in their lives because they don’t understand the end result. They’ll also want to re-establish their relationships with others who support the same goals. This means that in some cases you’ll see allies shift positions over the next year. You may even question some of your own relationships.
With Jupiter forming the opposition to Uranus today, March 2nd, it’s important to review your spiritual goals and find a way to understand how some of the global changes in the world can impact your personal life. You need to reach out to people you love so you don’t feel as if you’re all alone in the world. When you feel as if you’re misunderstood, it’s important to see if you can find a middle ground, an area of compromise.
You also need to review some of your concepts at this time to see if they are based in reality or on fear. You don’t want other people to tell you how to think. But you also don’t want to take any unrealistic actions. If at all possible, try to listen to people in your life so you can understand what they have to say.
On March 4th, Venus in Aries turns stationary retrograde and Mercury forms a conjunction to Neptune less than two hours later. Venus will be retrograde until April 15, 2017.
Venus is never really comfortable in the sign of Aries. Now with it in retrograde motion, it really is uncomfortable. The discomfort comes from a desire to move forward with your life no matter what other people think and the desire to please everyone you love. It’s important to determine where you have to do things on your own and where you can rely on others. You may even feel that it’s time to get rid yourself of non-supportive people.
On a more mundane level, you need to re-evaluate your finances. Now is the time to see what the “hidden” fees of financial matters really cost. Look at your credit cards and their interest rates. Find ways to pay down your bills. Consider some long-term financial planning, but wait until Venus turns direct on April 15, 2017 before you put any of those plans into action.
You may feel confused about relationships and financial matters as Mercury forms the conjunction to Neptune later in the day. While this is a great day to re-evaluate relationships and finances in your life, it’s not a great day for making any major decisions or taking direct action. You don’t have all the facts. There’s still important missing information.
Artistic people tend to enjoy days when Mercury is forming an aspect to Neptune because there is this feeling of being connected with spirit. You’re able to take images from your subconscious mind and create incredible works of art. Before Mars enters the sign of Taurus on March 9th, Mercury forms a quincunx to Jupiter retrograde. It’s a good thing that Mars will be entering Taurus later in the day because you might become too clumsy with your words when Mercury forms the quincunx to Jupiter retrograde. You might just say too much and regret it later. On the positive side, when Mercury forms a quincunx to Jupiter retrograde, you’re willing to look at situations from many different perspectives. This can increase your ability to understand important circumstances in your life.
Mars isn’t really comfortable in the sign of Taurus, its detriment. But with everything else going on in the world, this can actually work in your favor. The reason that Mars isn’t quite as comfortable in Taurus is that Mars wants to take action and Taurus wants to wait before moving forward. Taurus wants to understand every nuisance of a situation before making a decision. What this means it that you’ll take the time to understand a circumstance before you act. You’ll do everything to understand what’s occurring in your life and try to do things right the first time so you don’t have to do it over.
Mercury forms a square to Saturn on March 12th. Normally you feel as if you need to be very cautious with your words when Mercury forms a square to Saturn. You also tend to expect too much of yourself. You don’t want to say the wrong thing. And, you don’t want to make a mistake.
With the full Moon occurring a few hours after Mercury forms the square to Saturn on March 12th, your tendency to expect too much increases. This full Moon occurs when the Sun is in Pisces and the Moon is in Virgo. Emotionally you want to be realistic. Personally, you’d rather just flow with the tide. But you really can’t do that. While the Sun is forming a conjunction to Chiron and a quincunx to Jupiter retrograde, it’s also forming a conjunction to Mercury and a square to Saturn. Meanwhile, the Moon is forming a quincunx to Uranus while forming an opposition to Mercury and a square to Saturn.
You feel unsettled and you don’t know what to do. You’re concerned that any action you take won’t be good enough. Again, you don’t want to make any mistakes. Perhaps it’s better if you just relax and use this day as a time for reflection. Review the circumstances in your life, but wait a little longer to see what other events could bring into your life. Take care of your health and don’t put too much strain into your life.
It’s difficult to take a wait and see attitude on March 13th when Mercury enters the sign of Aries. You tend to act before you think. You also say things without thinking them through. You might find that you hurt other people with your words. Or, you might find that other people are combative. This is not a day to argue with people. This is a day to hold back, if you can.
When Ceres forms a sextile to Neptune, the energy can operate in many different ways. So, it’s not that easy to say what will happen on March 14th when this aspect occurs.
You might realize that you can achieve the dreams that you want because you know how to approach them realistically. You know when to make the right compromises. On the other hand, you may be approaching your life from the perspective of magical thinking and not taking everything into consideration.
If you can take your dreams and spend some time reviewing them, you’ll be able to understand what’s realistic and what’s not. The key is to move slowly and check everything before you take action.
On March 20th, the Sun enters the sign of Aries and the astrological year begins. When the astrological year begins, it’s a good time to take review your life and decide if you need to make any changes. With the Sun forming a conjunction to Venus retrograde, it’s important that you review your finances and relationships. Economically consumer prices and interest rates are going to rise. This can have a major impact on your budget. Emotionally you want re-evaluate the relationships you have with people in your life. You don’t want to be involved in situations where you’re not appreciated or not respected. You may even feel that it’s time to let go of relationships that cause you pain.
The Moon forms a very tight conjunction to Saturn at the time of this equinox. The Moon is at 27º Sagittarius 30” and Saturn is at 27º Sagittarius 33”. In mundane astrology, the Moon represents the public and Saturn represents rules and regulations. You may feel that the rules are changing in your life. Or, you may feel that other people’s rules are interfering with your own personal growth. This is a time period to review your emotional needs and determine if you are taking care of yourself. You also need to re-evaluate your obligations to others and determine if you are ignoring your own needs in order to make others happy.
The cardinal T-square is operating at a subconscious level at this time. Jupiter retrograde is moving towards a square to Pluto while separating from the opposition to Uranus. You aren’t as willing to take risks to bring change into your life. Instead you want stability. So, take a look at any changes that you need to make within the constraints of the rules you need to follow to remain safe and secure. On a mundane level this means that governments may try to implement some laws which can lead to a loss of freedom in the name of security.
March 23rd through March 26th could be days of turmoil as Mercury forms a cardinal T-square with Pluto, Jupiter retrograde, and Uranus.
On March 23rd, Mercury forms a square to Pluto. You want to stand up for your rights because you feel as if other people aren’t willing to listen to you. You want to convey new ideas, but people aren’t open to them. You also feel as if others are trying to manipulate you into situations you don’t like.
As Mercury moves into the opposition with Jupiter retrograde on March 24th, you wonder if you aren’t saying too much. You feel as if other people are expecting you to justify your actions. And, perhaps they are. It’s important to realize that you need to slow down and listen to what other people are really saying so you understand the situation. Saying too much could get you in trouble.
When Mercury forms the conjunction to Uranus on March 26th, you feel mentally exhausted. You were busy protecting yourself. You didn’t know what to say. Information was coming at you very quickly. Just don’t be so scattered that you let other people take advantage of you.
After several days of turmoil, you feel as if you need a rest, especially with Mars forming a sextile to Neptune on March 27th before the new Moon later in the day.
You want to relax. You don’t want to do too much. You want to take care of your needs. And, with the new Moon approaching, the morning hours are a good time to meditate on any future actions that you want to take. Enjoy the rest, you need it.
When the new Moon in Aries occurs later in the day you want to start over. You want to move on with your life and take risks. You don’t want to wait for other people to tell you what you want to do.
Mercury forms a trine to Saturn on March 29th but this is only the first of three trines that Mercury will form to Saturn in this triad sequence. Although Mercury will enter the sign of Taurus at the end of this month, it will turn retrograde during that month of April. During its retrograde period, Mercury will re-enter the sign of Aries and form a second trine to Saturn in retrograde motion on April 24, 2017. It will form the third trine to Saturn in direct motion on May 11, 2017. This is a precursor to what you’ll be able to expect when Mercury is retrograde in April 2017. This also means that the Mercury retrograde period will feel as if it’s lasting a lot longer than usual, from March 29th until May 11th.
When Mercury forms a trine to Saturn, focus your attention on your communication style. You don’t want to say too much. It’s also important to spend time listening to other people. You need to establish goals in your life and approach them in a responsible manner. Just take into consideration that other people may throw you off track by introducing insignificant details. The key is to remain true to your values and stay on course with your plan. If people throw up doubts, pull back. Review the doubts which they may express. But don’t change course if facts support your success.
On March 30th, Jupiter retrograde forms the second square to Pluto in this triad sequence. The first time this square occurred was on November 24, 2016 when both Jupiter and Pluto were in direct motion. The third time that it will occur on August 4, 2017, Jupiter will be direct and Pluto will be retrograde.
Jupiter formed its second opposition to Uranus earlier this month on March 2nd. At that time, Jupiter was part of a greater energy: A cardinal T-square. Once again, with Jupiter forming the square to Pluto, it is part of that cardinal T-square. And, once again, you’ll see changes occurring in the world which have a direct impact on your personal life.
Today you want to look at the fears you have which prevent you from making necessary changes. This is a good day to ask yourself some questions about your fears. Are they based on situations which you experienced in the past? Are they based on what you read or hear in the media? Are they based on what your political leaders are telling you? If you can’t answer any of those questions, you may want to question the reality of your fears. Maybe they aren’t real. If you have answers to any of those questions, you’ll be able to find a way to release yourself from fears that prevent your success.
It’s interesting that Pluto represents both the need to delve deeply into your subconscious mind as well as the need to eliminate debris which clogs you up. As you take time to understand your real needs, you also need to throw out things which are no longer important. By doing this, you can move on with your life. You can also gain power over your lifestyle as well as prevent other people from manipulating you.
In mundane astrology, Pluto represents anything from taxes or retirements plans where administrators control the investment of your money, as well as criminal activities which can bring about financial ruin. Don’t be surprised if over the next year there is a focus within government to change the tax structure, especially as it relates to your retirement plans or pensions. Also, don’t be surprised if you hear about either more scandals in the financial industry or increased cyberattacks. Additionally, you’ll see increased use of algorithms where companies are analyzing your private data for their marketing purposes.
Understanding this means that you need to re-evaluate your retirement accounts and keep personal information as safe as possible, both on your own computer and other areas. Unfortunately when institutional cyberattacks occur, you don’t hear about them until later, such as either the end of April 2017 when Mercury is finally in direct motion or mid-May 2017 when the retrograde energy of Mercury is finally over.
The positive use of this energy is to understand what you need in life, especially in your relationships. Know where you can help people and where you are willing to let people help you. Listen to the information you receive and do the best you can to determine its accuracy.
As Mercury enters the sign of Taurus on March 31st, you may gain an increased understanding of what’s important to you. But, with Mercury about to turn retrograde in April 2017, spend more time listening to what other people have to say rather than explaining what you need. In this way, you’ll be able find more stability in your life and understand how to relate to other people.
