Disruption

The world just got crazier…Ukraine was invaded by Russia on February 24, 2022 at 4:40 am, Kyiv time (source: Economist), as I was doing my final edit on this article. While it initially appeared that it could be a quiet month because it seemed like only the new Moon, full Moon, and Sun entering the sign of Aries were the important astrological energies for the month of March, that thought changed as I started analyzing the movement of Venus, Mars, and Pluto all in the sign of Capricorn and getting ready to form conjunctions to each other as well as the energies shown during the time of the Aries ingress. What I wrote as a possible theme was “this can be a period of disruptions, especially to the status quo.”
As March begins, Mercury forms a conjunction to Saturn on March 2nd, followed by a new Moon less than one hour later. With both Mercury and Saturn in Aquarius you want to be open to new ideas. At the same time, you’re very cautious and take everything seriously. You don’t want to miss any important details. For this reason, you’re able to take a critical look at any ideas to see if they have merit.
This willingness to be open to new ideas increases when the new Moon occurs and forms a sextile to Uranus. With both the Sun and Moon in Pisces, as well as Jupiter and Neptune, you start thinking about your dreams and aspirations. You feel a heightened awareness of the world around you. Part of you wants to go out into the world to help other people. Another part of your just wants to retreat and examine situations in your life. With Venus, Mars, and Pluto all in the sign of Capricorn you feel passionate about your work. You feel motivated to succeed. You don’t want to waste any of your efforts. Most importantly, you want to find a practical way to implement your dreams and aspirations.
Venus may be trailing Mars right now, but both Venus and Mars will form conjunctions to Pluto on March 3rd. First Mars forms the conjunction and then Venus forms the conjunction.
You feel a great level of intensity when Mars forms the conjunction to Pluto. Both planets rule the same sign of Scorpio and represent passion in life. Yet they come from different perspectives. Mars takes immediate action, often without thinking. Pluto works slowly, often behind the scenes because secrecy is so important. When Mars forms the conjunction to Pluto, you find that for all the passion you have, you don’t want to move too quickly. You become very cautious. You may even find that it’s more difficult to trust people right now. You don’t want to be take advantage of. Yet, you also don’t want to miss out on anything important.
When Venus forms the conjunction to Pluto later in the day, you want other people to recognize your efforts. You want to be appreciated. You want to be valued. You still don’t want other people to take advantage of you. But you need to be cautious that you don’t try so hard to please people that they do take advantage of you.
There’s also a possibility that you could meet someone new at this time. Your charisma is very high. People find you attractive. They sense that you’re interested in knowing about them. Therefore, they are attracted to you, either as a love interest or an interesting soul.
Before both Venus and Mars enter the sign of Aquarius tomorrow, they form a conjunction to each other on March 5th. Normally the conjunction of Venus and Mars can be fleeting: a little bit of flirtation, perhaps. Or this sense that you want to go out and have fun. But the fact that both planets formed conjunctions to Pluto a few days earlier, the conjunction between these two planets indicates that emotions are at an elevated level. A lot is occurring and you don’t have all the control you want. Also, the Moon, which is in Aries, appears that it will form a square to both Venus and Mars before it goes void-of-course. But that doesn’t occur because both Venus and Mars are in refranation. This means that both Venus and Mars leave the sign of Capricorn before the Moon in Aries can make the aspect. It also means that the final aspect the Moon will make is a square to Pluto before it goes void-of-course. You’re trying to reach for conclusions but situations keep changing. Rather than achieving the conclusions you feel they’ve walked out the door and you’re left behind without a solution.
As Mars enters the sign of Aquarius on March 6th, it leaves the stellium with Venus and Pluto behind. You feel you are ready to move on. You don’t want to wait any longer. You want to be with friends. You want to re-establish your social circle. And, you want to help wherever you can.
Less than 10 minutes later, Venus follows Mars and enters the sign of Aquarius. This reinforces your desire to be out in society. You want to feel free to go your own way. You don’t want other people to tell you what to do. You want to be there not only for your friends, but with your friends.
You need to be very careful with your words when Mercury enters the sign of Pisces on March 9th. Mercury isn’t comfortable in the sign of Pisces, its detriment. That’s because there’s a tendency when Mercury is in the sign of Pisces to be more worried about circumstances where the event just keeps re-playing itself in your head. Also, other people tend to keep secrets when you’d rather talk about situations. So, don’t try to force conversations. Rather take time to listen to what other people say.
On March 14th, both Venus and Mercury form aspects to Ceres. This is important because Ceres represents the need to get what you want in life while understanding that compromise is an important aspect in achieving your goals.
With Venus forming a trine to Ceres, you feel very passionate about your goals. You are clear on what you need. You see the value in what you want to achieve. You also understand how important it is to communicate the value of your goals to try and enlist support from others.
Yet, a few hours later Mercury forms a square to Ceres and you may realize not everyone wants to listen to what you have to say. As a matter of fact, you may find that other people are more concerned about their own needs than your needs. They may even question your logic as you make your presentation.
When Mercury forms a sextile to Uranus on March 17th you find increased ways to be creative in your approach to situations. You’re able to see things from a different perspective. You realize that the old way of looking at thing are not working. You’re not quite sure of the new way yet, but you’re trying to figure it out.
As Mars forms the trine to Ceres later in the day, it becomes easier to understand what you need to do. You know where you can compromise. You also understand that other people want to find solutions just as much as you do. With Mars in Aquarius, you welcome input from other people as they present their perspectives.
When the full Moon, with the Sun in Pisces and the Moon in Virgo occurs on March 18th you feel conflicted. You don’t know whether it’s better to just move through the day as you experience life around you, or whether it’s better to slow down and pay attention to every detail of the events surrounding you. As the Sun separates from a conjunction to Jupiter and Neptune and the Moon separates from an opposition with these same two planets, you feel overwhelmed. There’s too much occurring in the world that you don’t understand. Both Jupiter and Neptune, in their ruling sign of Pisces, indicate that boundaries are dissolving. What you thought you knew isn’t quite what it seems. Usually the full Moon indicates a time of letting go. But, in this case you are better off being an observer and waiting before moving on.
After the full Moon occurs, Venus forms a sextile to Chiron. Now you realize just how important it is to be an observer. While you may want to rush out and save the world, you also need to hold back. This is a time to take care of your needs as well as the needs of people you love.
Be very careful on March 19th as Venus forms a square to Uranus. Unexpected things could happen and you might find yourself in a situation that brings you discomfort. You may even run into some old people from your past that you’d rather avoid. You had problems with these individuals and you don’t want to be reminded of those difficulties.
The astrological year begins on March 20th when the Sun enters the sign of Aries. This ingress of the Sun represents the Spring equinox in the Northern Hemisphere and the Vernal equinox in the Southern Hemisphere. With the energy that this chart represents there’s a lot of unsettled events that will occur in the world for at least the next twelve months.
At the time this equinox begins the Moon creates an out-of-sign quincunx with the Sun. You’ll need to make adjustments in your life as situations occur that you can’t plan for. In addition with Mercury, Jupiter, and Neptune making a conjunction, you need to be very cautious of any information you receive through various media platforms. Not all is as it seems. And some of the information is an outright lie.
Venus is separating from the conjunction that it made to Mars earlier in the month, but you’ll still feel the energy of these planets. Both planets are joined by Saturn in the same sign of Aquarius. You want to be open to new ideas. You want to be involved in the social movements that are important to you. Yet at the same time you don’t want to make changes so quickly that you don’t understand what’s going on in the world. And, with Venus and Mars forming a square to Uranus, you’re concerned that change is going on too quickly for you to understand the personal impact this will have on your life.
Basically the underlying message this equinox chart presents is that things aren’t always going to be as they seem. You’ll see changes occurring but the actual results won’t be known during this year and the impact will last for several years. It’ll be very important for you to keep the lessons you’ve learned from the past close to your conscious awareness as events occur around you. This way you’ll be able to keep a sense of structure in your life and not embrace change without understanding the risks these changes may bring.
As Mercury forms a conjunction to Jupiter and Mars forms a sextile to Chiron on March 21st, you may feel that you can bring some semblance of understanding in your life. When Mercury forms a conjunction to Jupiter you feel optimistic about your approach in life. You feel that you are able to communicate in a manner other people understand. You also strive to find the best in people.
This need to find the best in others continues as Mars forms a sextile to Chiron. You don’t want to start any actions that can create injury. You want to take action that improves your health and the health of the circumstances that surround you. If you decide to take any risks, they are calculated risks: Those risks where you determine that even if it doesn’t work out your way, you’ll still be all right.
When March 22nd occurs, it’s important for you to be very careful since Mars forms a square to Uranus. There’s a tendency to rush into situations without considering all the consequences. Also, you aren’t taking your environment into consideration. What does this all mean? It could be too easy for you to get into an accident of some sort because you didn’t look to see where you were going. Or, it could be too easy to start an argument with another individual where neither of you care about the safety of the other person.
When Mercury forms a conjunction to Neptune on March 23rd, you’ll realize that you don’t have all the facts you need to make a proper decision. Either other people are withholding information from you or just outright lying. For this reason, it’s best if you don’t sign any contracts today. If possible, try not to do too much. The one benefit to a conjunction between Mercury and Neptune is that you have a heightened awareness of your environment. This means that you could get some impressions about situations. You may not understand what’s occurring, but you could also come up with creative approaches to solving some old problems.
Situations are a lot clearer on March 26th when Mercury forms a sextile to Pluto. You are able to communicate in a way that other people understand you. You can apply creative approaches to situations. You also feel passionate about your ideas and concepts. As a matter of fact, you’ll be able to achieve quite a bit today.
As Mercury enters the sign of Aries on March 27th, you’re more willing to engage with people. While you may want to know what they think, you find that it’s more important for you to tell them your side of the story. If necessary, you’re ready to stand up for your rights. Just one bit of caution. When Mercury is in Aries, there’s a tendency to speak rapidly and not listen to what others have to say. Some people may determine that you’re a bit too overbearing. Or, you may miss out on some important information that you’ll need to know later.
Understanding the value of your environment and sacred space becomes more significant on March 28th as Ceres form a sextile to Chiron and Venus forms a conjunction to Saturn. Ceres represents the need to create a safe place while Venus represents the desire to surround yourself with beauty.
When Ceres forms the sextile to Chiron, you do everything you can to ensure no harm comes to you or people you love. If this means that you need to compromise, you’ll do that. But, it also means that if you have to fight to protect others, you’ll do that as well.
Meanwhile when Venus forms the conjunction to Saturn, you’ll look around your space and make certain that the beauty surrounding you also defines your life in a way that you feel safe. You may approach life a little more seriously now. That’s because you don’t fear making commitments. At the same time, you are very cautious with the people you allow into your intimate space. You won’t take any risks that are unsafe.
As the month of March starts wrapping up, Venus forms a square to the Moon’s Nodal Axis on March 30th. You may not know which direction you want to go in. Do you move forward? Do you hold on to the past? What you do know is that it’s time to review your value system to see just what changes need to be made in life. This is a good day to review your past experiences to determine if they can increase your understanding of what to go in life. This could also be a good day to see what you may want to do for the future in order to meet your emotional and financial goals.
