The month of December starts with Mercury in Sagittarius forming a trine to Uranus retrograde and a square to Chiron less than two hours apart on December 1, 2015. When Mercury is in Sagittarius, there’s a tendency to say too much. You get excited about your ideas and want to share everything with everyone. But, other people don’t necessarily want to listen: Especially when Mercury is forming the trine to Uranus and the square to Chiron.
In addition to giving out too much information, you may be “forgetting” to listen to other people. They want to have some input. They don’t want to be ordered around or told what to do. You might hurt their feelings. Or, you may create resentment that causes problems later.
The one good thing about today is that you can see situations from a different perspective and come up with solutions to problems that have been bothering you for days.
December 4th is another day where you need to be cautious with your words as Mercury forms a square to Jupiter. Once again, you might say too much or act without thinking. You’re excited about the potentials in life but you may forget to listen to what other people have to say. You might rush into situations without thinking about the possible outcomes. You may even find that you’re moving so quickly that you can get into an accident.
On the other hand, you may feel so optimistic in your ability to do things that you start making too many commitments which you’ll regret later. Rather than making those commitments today, wait for a few days and see if you still want to follow through.
It’s good that Venus enters the sign of Scorpio on the evening (EST) of December 4th. When Venus is in the sign of Scorpio you want to understand situations before you take any action. You also find that you want to maintain more silence as you relate to other people. Part of the reason is you want to understand the situation before you provide the answers or help someone.
On December 6th, Mars forms a square to Pluto and starts the energy of a cardinal T-square that will end on December 10th when Mars forms an opposition to Uranus retrograde. Although both Mars and Pluto rule the sign of Scorpio, Mars is now in the sign of Libra. It’s not comfortable in that sign since Mars needs to learn how to compromise in situations and work with other people. Meanwhile, Pluto in Capricorn wants to exert its power and maintain the status quo. For this reason, you may feel as if you’re in a power struggle with others. You may feel as if they are trying to manipulate you. You may also feel frustrated with trying to help other people when all they want to do is use you.
As Mercury forms a square to the Moon’s Nodal Axis on December 8th, it’s important to understand the difference between what you need to do on a routine basis and what you dream you can do in your life. It’s time to simplify your life and not take too many risks. It’s also time to pull back from your dreams and determine if they are realistic. This is not the day to fall into or any magical thinking where you expect things to happen just because you want them to occur.
Mercury enters the sign of Capricorn on December 9th. In Capricorn, Mercury wants to communicate about the group and what is important to the group as a whole. There’s a tendency to hold on to old rules because they are comfortable. When Mercury is in Capricorn, you need to understand the rules of the game so that you know how to work best with other people.
The cardinal T-square which began on December 6th when Mars formed the square to Pluto ends today, December 10th, when Mars forms an opposition to Uranus retrograde. It’s important to be careful today because in its most negative manifestation, this could be a very violent day: People don’t care about the outcome of their actions. When you interact with others do the best you can to be gentle. Other people may feel angry and frustrated at circumstances that you know nothing about. You don’t want to give them an opportunity to take out their frustrations on you.
If you can pause before taking any action, you’ll find that you can actually use this energy to bring positive change into your life. You can separate from negative circumstances and feel good about your decision.
The new Moon, with Sun and Moon in Sagittarius, occurs on December 11th. Before the new Moon occurs, Venus forms a trine to Neptune. After the new Moon occurs, Mars forms a quincunx to Chiron. With both these aspects occurring today, you’ll feel an undercurrent of compassion coming from other people.
Normally when Venus forms a trine to Neptune, you greet people with open arms and try to find ways to help them. But with Venus in Scorpio, you’re more cautious than normal. So, while you want to give others your support, you’ll actually hold back a little until you understand the situation in more detail.
This desire to hold back until you understand more details will actually help at the time of the new Moon. With both the Sun and Moon in Sagittarius at this time, there’s a tendency to want to rush into situations, especially since this new Moon forms a trine to Uranus retrograde and a square to Jupiter. But, you understand the need for caution since you don’t want to put yourself in harm’s way. You also need to take time to look at the potential impact that your actions can have in your life.
With Mars forming the quincunx to Chiron after the new Moon, you’ll be able to release any negative energy in your life. You’ll also be willing to look at the potential impact that your actions can have.
In all, this is a new Moon where you look at your future but understand that you need to be aware of your actions and their outcomes.
You continue to feel a lot of compassion towards other people as Mercury forms a sextile to Neptune on December 14th. Normally you don’t see all the facts when this aspect occurs. You operate more on feelings than logic. However, with Mercury in Capricorn you will try to approach situations realistically. Just don’t sign any contracts today. No matter how realistically you approach the situation, you’ll still miss something important.
On December 17th, Venus forms a square to Ceres and, less than two hours later, a sextile to Pluto. All three of these planets are involved in the mythology surrounding Demeter, Persephone, and Hades where it appears that you lose someone you love to another individual but find a way, through compromise, to bring that person back into your life.
At times Venus and Ceres vibrate on the same level. Venus represents the passionate side of love while Ceres represents the nurturing side of love. But at other times, these two different representations can be at odds with each other. The mother Ceres may decide that her daughter Venus is not ready for love. Or, the daughter Venus may decide that the mother Ceres is too possessive and controlling.
You need to find a balance between your desire for passion and your instinct to nurture. Not all people may feel as passionate as you do about situations in their lives. Or, they may feel that your attempts at nurturing them are really ways of preventing them from growing.
As Venus moves into the sextile to Pluto, you understand how to balance your need to control situations with your desire to be passionate about your life. You’ll be able to help people by listening to their problems and knowing that taking charge of the situation may not be the right approach. Rather, you can learn through compromise the value of your relationships with other people.
Separating yourself from the problems of others becomes very easy on December 18th when Venus forms the quincunx to Uranus retrograde. You won’t tolerate weakness in others. You won’t let yourself get dragged into their problems. You may even come across as argumentative because you aren’t willing to put up with anything.
When Venus forms a trine to Chiron on December 19th, you may have a little more compassion, but not too much because Mercury will form a conjunction to Pluto later in the day. With Venus in Scorpio, you’ll pull back and observe what other people are going through. If you decide to help it will be because either that individual asked or you didn’t see any other possibilities.
As Mercury moves into the conjunction to Pluto later in the day, you’ll become skeptical of people who don’t seem to be helping themselves. You won’t be willing to just jump into situations until you really understand them.
Mercury won’t be turn retrograde until January 5, 2016. (It will remain retrograde until January 25, 2016.) But when Mercury forms the conjunction to Pluto on December 19th, this will be the first of three conjunctions that it makes to Pluto in this series. The second time this conjunction occurs is on January 22, 2016 when Mercury is in retrograde motion. The third time it occurs is on January 30, 2016 when Mercury is direct.
It may take some time before you fully understand other people today because this conjunction occurs three times in this series. You may find that you need to put off helping anyone until January 2016, especially January 30, 2016 when this conjunction occurs for the third time with Mercury direct again. You don’t need to rush into any decisions.
On December 20th, Mercury forms a square to Uranus retrograde. Once again this aspect will occur three times in this series. The second time it occurs is when Mercury is retrograde and Uranus is direct on January 20, 2016. The third time it occurs is on January 31, 2016 when Mercury and Uranus are both direct.
Today could be a day of tension as Mercury formed a conjunction to Pluto yesterday and is now forming a square to Uranus retrograde. These two aspects emphasize the tensions that the Uranus/Pluto square has created over the last several years. More cautiously today since your energy may feel scattered. You also won’t put up with stupidity from others. You may even decide that it’s time to end relationships with people who are creating problems in your life.
If you’re having difficulty with people today, try to resolve the problem. If you don’t, you’ll have to deal with it again in January 2016 when Mercury and Uranus make the same aspects again. If you think you resolved the problem, make a note of it in case it does repeat again next month. Make certain that you consider all possible outcomes before making a decision. Things could change unexpectedly and you want to be prepared as much as possible.
Mercury forms a sextile to Chiron on December 21st before the winter solstice begins. It will make this aspect a total of three times as well. The other two times will be on January 19, 2016 when Mercury is in retrograde motion and the third time will be on February 3, 2016 when Mercury is direct once again. The energy generated by this aspect may be subtle in your life. You may suddenly feel more compassion towards others. You may also realize that your words have more power than your thought. If you say something in a gentle manner other people will listen to your ideas. They may even feel inspired by what your say.
When the Sun enters Capricorn on December 21st, the winter solstice begins in the Northern Hemisphere. This is the time for reflection on your life and the goals you’ve achieved. This is also the time to see how your goals benefited not only you but also your family.
Communication is very important at this time. The past few days were very intense. You needed to consider your long-term plans as well as possible outcomes to those situations. You may even find that you have to compromise on some of your goals in order to achieve the results you want.
Family is also very important at this time. While you may think that working can bring more financial security in your life, you really need the security of your family. It’s important to take time to be with them and express your feelings of love and gratitude.
You may even want to take this time to discuss your dreams with people you love. They’ll help you see how realistic those dreams are. You may even find more support for achieving your goals that you realized. The most important lesson from this solstice it to understand that you don’t need to be alone in the world as you strive to experience love and success.
When Ceres forms a sextile to Uranus retrograde on December 23rd you really do understand the importance of building a support system. A lot of new ideas are just surfacing from your subconscious mind. You’re willing to take risks. But, most importantly, you understand that you can be more successful with your risks if you have a supportive environment.
You feel good about what you can do in life to take care of your needs on December 24th when Venus forms a sextile to Jupiter. You also feel very optimistic about life in general. This is a good day. Things seem to go smoothly. Even your relationships with others works out well.
The last full Moon of the year occurs on December 25th, Christmas Day. While there’s a desire to honor all religions, this day is still important on a vibratory note because it also invokes the energy of the Druids and nature spirits. This is a good day to meditate on the foundations you’ve created in life to make certain they are built on firm ground, are realistic, and can be achieved.
You’ll want to make changes in how you approach work so that you can spend more time with family and friends. Think about the goals that you can achieve and how much support you’ll receive from loved ones. Find ways to protect yourself from all the crazy energy of stress which may surround you. It’ll be important to find a way to keep that energy out of your intimate environment. It will help to relax. But it will really help to acknowledge your gratitude to those you love.
After the Winter Solstice occurs and before Uranus turns direct, Mercury forms the first of three trines to Jupiter on December 25th. The second trine will occur when Mercury and Jupiter are both retrograde on January 14, 2016. The third trine will occur when Mercury is direct and Jupiter is retrograde on February 6, 2016.
You feel optimistic about situations right now. You feel like you can do anything. Perhaps it’s a good thing that Mercury is in Capricorn because that does tone down your optimism a bit. If Mercury wasn’t in Capricorn, you’d feel as if you can do so much that you make too many commitments. But, you are able to review your commitments today and determine if they fit into your personal situation. You may not make any changes in your life today. That could occur in January 2016 or February 2016. However, if you pay attention to your needs, you’ll find that you can get your life on the right track and achieve your goals.
As December 25th draws to a close, Uranus turns stationary direct in the evening hours EST. Normally this change of direction is not important. Today, however, it is. As Uranus turns direct, it starts moving away from the square that it’s formed to Pluto. While there will still be a lot of energy exchange between these two planets, a lot people in the world will breathe a sigh of relief. You’ll feel as if you can finally move on with changes occurring in your life. Hopefully you’ll embrace the past. But more hopefully, you’ll see a new future that can bring more prosperity and peace into your life.
As the year ends, Venus enters the sign of Sagittarius on December 30th. Emotionally you are ready to move on. You want to make certain there is justice in the world. You want to go out and experience life. You want to learn new things. You feel more excited about the world around you.
