February 2007: Facing the Challenges of Making Changes in Your Life

The month of January 2007 focused on reviewing your life’s structure. As the close of the month approached, Jupiter formed a square to Uranus on January 22, 2007, indicating that other people might challenge your concepts or even your desire to make changes in your life. As the full Moon, with Sun in Aquarius and Moon in Leo, occurs on February 2nd, you’ll feel this challenge on an even greater level than you did at the end of January.

The full Moon is a time to let go of outmoded concepts and activities. But you need to be careful because there’s a tendency during this full moon to let your pride get in the way of good decisions. This is a day of understanding your aspirations in a compassionate manner because Mercury enters Pisces a few hours after the full Moon. At the same time, it’s also a day to review the reality of your aspirations. If you’re not careful, you may let unrealistic dreams become a driving factor in your decisions. Or, you may miss some important facts that you really need to know before you can make sound decisions. It’s also important to know that Mercury is moving slower now than usual because it will be turning retrograde in a week or so.

Between February 3, 2007, when Mars forms a sextile to Uranus, and February 7, 2007, when Venus forms a conjunction to Uranus, you’ll want to take immediate action. Opportunities will present themselves during this time period. Some of these opportunities will come in the form of financial incentives. Other opportunities will come through your professional networks. In some instances people will want you to help them with special projects that they tell you can promote your agenda. Just be careful not to let your pride get in the way of good decisions. Others may be flattering you so that they can get you to do their work for them. If that’s the case, it’s important for you to really decide what value of this activity holds for you.

On February 9th, when Venus forms a square to Jupiter, and February 10th, when Venus forms a conjunction to the Moon’s North Node, you may feel optimistic about your financial situation. You may also feel over exuberant about your ability to solve any problems. However, you need to be cautious on these two days. There’s a tendency to take greater risks because you feel so optimistic. And, through taking these greater risks, you may not understand all the potential consequences of your actions. It’s not a good time to sign contracts because you may not read all the fine print. It’s also going to be an erratic time period for the stock market.

This is also an important time to take care of your health. When you feel a high level of exuberance, you push yourself a little too far physically. This could lead to a lowering of your physical resistance and you might be more prone to catch a cold or the flu.

When Mercury turns retrograde on February 13th, you may finally feel a little calmer. The exuberance you felt a few days earlier can now lead to personal insight. During the next three weeks while Mercury is retrograde you’ll be able to develop stronger relationships with people you trust. Today is a very good day to reflect and meditate on your life’s direction.

Jupiter forms a square to the Moon’s North Node on February 15th bringing back the feelings of exuberance that you felt on February 9th and 10th. Again, you need to be careful with any new concepts that you try at this time. You may want to take risks, but it’s more important to move slowly and develop some specific plans of action. Other people may actually have some good suggestions that can increase the success of your plans.

The new Moon in Aquarius occurs on February 17th. Technically this is considered a void-of-course new Moon. It means that a lot of plans you make during this time period might now quite work out the way that you would like them to. In the positive, it’s a good time to develop innovative concepts and allow your mind to be open to new possibilities.

When the Sun enters Pisces on the following day, there are six energy points (Sun, Mercury retrograde, Uranus, Moon’s North Node, Moon, and Venus) all in Pisces. There are so many different ways that this energy can play out. You may find that you’d rather just be alone and not interact with others. Or, you may find that you need to take care of problems you’ve been avoiding. Whichever way this energy plays out in your life, this is a time to be cautious with your finances as well as take care of your health.

With so many energy points in Pisces, this could also indicate that secrets kept are now being revealed. Sometimes there’s a militant feeling surrounding this energy. People are willing to fight for their beliefs. Or, they are willing to reveal your secrets because they feel anger towards something they believe that you’ve done to them. This is not a good time to start arguments because those arguments won’t make any sense. They’ll be based on emotions and won’t lead to any solutions.

February 19th, when Venus forms a square to Pluto, through February 21, 2007, when Venus enters the sign of Aries, could be an emotionally intense time period. You may want to fight with someone over an apparent slight. Or, you may want the other person to see your point of view so much that you are willing to fight for you point of view even if the other person doesn’t care about it. Any arguments at this time will be emotional and not bring any resolution.

This is also important time period to pay attention to your finances. The stock market may be erratic. Cost of living and other expanses may increase. So, reviewing your budget is a good thing to do.

Not all is negative with this emotionally intensity. One of the positive aspects that can occur from feeling so deeply about things in your life is that you start understanding your needs better. Emotionally you can feel what changes you need to make in your life. It’s not just a logical understanding; it’s also an emotional connection for you.

Mars enters Aquarius on February 25 and Mercury in its retrograde motion re-enters Aquarius the following day. There is a lot of desire for group activity. At the same time, you want to maintain your own individuality. Because of the retrograde Mercury this is a good time to review the various commitments you’ve made when volunteering for group activities. These commitments may be taking valuable time away from your family. Or, they may increase your circle of friends and people who are willing to give you emotional support.

As the month draws to a close, Saturn forms an opposition to Neptune on February 28th. This opposition occurred in August 31, 2006 and will occur again on July 25, 2007. It is a cycle that occurs about every 36 years and represents the need to understand the difference between your goals in life and the aspirations that drive those goals. Oppositions are a time when one side may struggle against the other. In this case, you may find this time period to be one where you are re-evaluating your aspirations and the path you’ve chosen to implement those aspirations.

The opposition often represents a separation that needs to occur because of a disparity between the energies of the two planets. Saturn focuses attention on leadership and structures while Neptune represents actions that can cause one’s self undoing and the need to dissolve matters. In its most negative form, Saturn forming an opposition to Neptune can lead to a leader taking action that causes his or her downfall. It can also indicate past roles fall apart because of deceit. The positive of this opposition can indicate that old rules no longer apply because the needs of society require new approaches.

Since this is actually the start of a new cycle that lasts until July 25, 2007, you may not see all the implications at this time. Historically, there is a need to continue increasing the global economy and removing barriers that prevent countries from developing trade relationships. At the same time the removal of barriers will increase the concerned of disenfranchised people that they are not receiving all the benefits found through global prosperity. Therefore, the concern for civil rights continues to increase while countries find that they are more connected than they ever thought they could be.

This connection with the world is one that will filter into your life as well. You may find that you have new friends across borders to communicate as you connect through the Internet with them regarding topics of interest. Or, you may find that it’s time to look at your future dreams and find ways to develop strategies of success.

This is the time to review how you implemented your dreams last August. This is a good time to ask yourself if your dreams were realistic. Perhaps you tried to start a new project but you didn’t have all the facts at that time. If that’s the case, now is the time to review your facts and see if you finally have them all. If your dreams are unrealistic, this is the time to adjust those dreams and put them into a more realistic perspective. If you can do that, you’ll see the success of your dreams manifest by the end of July 2007. However, if you are still holding on to unrealistic dreams, you’ll see the difficulties manifest by the end of July 2007.
