NOVA School of Astrology

NOVA School of Astrology is an online series of courses designed for students who are aspiring to understand and learn the best of astrology. You’ll focus on the essentials: the sign, houses, and planets. By the end of these courses, you’ll have the foundation to develop skills that enable you to read natal charts.

The online series of courses is a live, interactive approach to learning astrology via the internet. You’ll receive a link prior to the class where you’ll be able to see the PowerPoint presentations and appropriate astrological charts, listen to the lectures, and ask questions.

101: The Signs of the Zodiac

The first step in mastering natal chart delineation is to develop a deep understanding of each of the astrological signs. In the Signs of the Zodiac, we’ll cover each sign in detail from their constellation beginnings, to their mythology, and finally their personal meanings. Lessons run weekly for two hours each during this six-week class.

102: The Houses of the Zodiac

In The Houses of the Zodiac, we’ll continue our exploration of the natal chart by learning about the twelve houses and their symbolic role in representing the various areas of life, e.g., money, profession, and marriage. We’ll cover two new houses each week. Lessons run weekly for two hours each:

103: The Planets

After developing the skills to understand the signs of the zodiac and the houses of the chart, it’s time to study the planets of our solar system. Each lesson covers two planets. The lesson includes material to help you understand the significant role each planet plays and how the planets interact with the signs and houses. By the end of this lesson, you will be able to understand the relationship between the planets, signs, and houses and be able to delineate them. This lesson allows time for practical application with the natal charts.

104: Significant Points in the Chart

The four angles of a chart, ruling planets, the Moon’s nodal axis, and the Part of Fortune are critical areas of the chart called significant points. In this class, you’ll learn how to understand and interpret these points to increase your delineation skills. Natal charts will be used during this class to show you the practical applications.

Integrating the energy of the planets and other significant points comes from understanding the aspects that these energies make to each other. Some aspects enhance the basic meanings while other aspects change the tone of the meanings. Natal charts used during this class will show you how to apply you knowledge in a practical manner.
